Fundraising Events

A church is shaped by its worship, history, architecture, and art. But a church cannot stand still and needs more than money to guarantee its survival. St Laurence's needs people to befriend it, appreciate what it contains, and explore ways in which the community can use it not just for worship but also for social, learning, and volunteer events that will strengthen its members as individuals and as a community.

St Laurence's Church is wholly reliant on the financial donations, grants and voluntary support it receives from worshippers, visitors and money raised by events. It receives no money from the Church of England nor from the government, and now it needs your support more than ever. Just meeting the rising cost of insurance and energy bills is a challenge in itself, let alone finding the funds to carry out the essential maintenance and repairs needed to the building watertight and dry. Please support these local events to raise awareness and much-needed funds. If you have fund-raising ideas, we'd love to hear from you.

Volunteers always welcome and always needed to help run our events - please contact us.
